HC Salavat Yulaev won victory over Amur for fourth time this season

The Ufa Arena hosted the fourth ice battle of the season between the Salavat Yulaev and Amur clubs. It was Tomi Lamsa's players who won the previous three matches.

Despite the home team's clear advantage, it scored only three more shots than the guests from Khabarovsk and spent 36 seconds more in the attack in the first period. Only Alexander Kadeikin's tap-in and goalmouth scramble of Amur helped the hockey players in black apparel come out ahead in the match's 18th minute.

After the break, Salavat Yulaev demonstrated a completely different game. The Bashkir team scored three times, keeping their net safe. Rodion Amirov capitalized on the first penalty of Amur. It was followed by Hartikainen'a double - 4: 0. These two goals allowed the Finnish striker to secure the second place of the best KHL snipers and rise in scorers' rating.

In the third period, Khabarovsk players fought for the "goal of prestige", and Salavat Yulaev for the fifth goal to please their fans. Towards the end of the match, Amur only worsened its position. Emotions prevailed and, as a result, two penalties one after another.

Thus, two points went to the Ufa team, and the fifth victory in a row is a new record for Salavat Yulaev in the current season. The Bashkir team will play the next match on February 18 after a break for the Swedish Ice Hockey Games. Ufa Arena will host another Green Derby.
