Ufa became leader among millionaire cities in growth of number of sports organizations
According to Yandex Maps, interest in sports sections has grown in Russia's millionaire cities over two years. The number of unique users opening sports organizations' cards grew faster than the service's overall audience. Analysts compared data for August 2024 and August 2026.
The most noticeable growth in the number of sports organizations themselves was recorded in Ufa. In August 2024, there were 341 such points in the capital of Bashkiria; by August 2026, there were 484, an increase of 42%. This is the best indicator among all millionaire cities.
For comparison, in Krasnoyarsk the number of organizations grew by 34% (from 551 to 737), in Chelyabinsk — by 29% (from 335 to 432), in Omsk — by 17% (from 424 to 494), in Krasnodar — by 15% (from 627 to 722). In total, across all millionaire cities, the number of sports organizations increased by 6% — from 15,001 to 15,925.
