Taekwondo practitioners from Bashkiria performed triumphantly at tournament in Kyrgyzstan
From June 11 to 16, the international Taekwondo GTF competition "Pearl of Kyrgyzstan" was held in Cholpon-Ata, the Kyrgyz Republic. 470 of the strongest athletes from 11 countries competed for medals.
Following the tournament results, the Russian team took first place in the overall standings. As the president of the Taekwondo Federation of Bashkortostan, Fagit Latipov, informed "Bashinform", the national team included 3 athletes from the republic. They contributed 5 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze medal to the team's total tally.
Thus, Anvar Fakhretdinov won 1 gold and 2 silver medals. Egor Parfenov received 2 golds and 1 bronze, and Evelina Galimova won 2 golds and 2 silvers.
