

Russian Tampa Bay goaltender, Ufa "Salavat Yulaev" trainee Andrei Vasilevskiy has become the winner of the Vezina Trophy.
The award is presented to the best goaltender of the NHL regular season. Vasilevskiy's victory was reported by the press service of the Ufa club, citing the league on the social network X.
According to the voting results, the Russian scored 114 points. Second place went to New York Islanders goaltender Ilya Sorokin with 51 points. Third was Boston goaltender Jeremy Swayman with 46 points.
Let us recall that Vasilevskiy began his hockey career at the "Salavat Yulaev" sports school. His debut with the Ufa team took place in 2012.
For Vasilevskiy, this is the second Vezina Trophy of his career. Previously, he also won the Stanley Cup twice with Tampa Bay. In 2021, the Russian goaltender was named the most valuable player of the NHL playoffs.
In the regular season, Andrei played 58 games and secured 39 victories. His goals-against average is 2.31, and his save percentage is 91.2. In the playoffs, Vasilevskiy has seven games and three victories to his name.
