The sixth match, held in Kazan, ended 3:2 in favor of "Lokomotiv". As a result, the score in the best-of-seven series became 4-2.
Already in the first period, 19-year-old forward Egor Surin made a serious bid for victory with two goals. And in the final segment, Maxim Shalunov capitalized on the Kazan team's mistake to score the third goal. In the end, "Ak Bars" redeemed their mistakes by scoring two goals in 5 minutes. Intrigue remained until the end of the game. But the Kazan team did not have enough time to score the third goal. With this match, the season in the Kontinental Hockey League came to an end.
On the way to their second championship, "Lokomotiv" defeated "Salavat Yulaev". The quarterfinal series ended with a score of 4-0.
