Boxers from Bashkiria became winners of PFD championship

The Volga Federal District boxing championship among men, held in memory of twice Hero of the Soviet Union Musa Gareev, has concluded in Ufa. At the tournament's closing ceremony, the participants were welcomed by the Prime Minister of the Republic's government, Andrey Nazarov.

88 athletes from 13 regions of the district took part in the competition. In addition to medals and honorary titles, the finalists and winners won spots for the country's main events — the Russian Championship in Saransk and the All-Russian Spartakiad.

6 Bashkir boxers became PFD champions at once — Artur Mukhtarov, Khozhiakbar Mamayusupov, Danil Dambaev, Ivan Tikhonov, Ildar Akbarov, and Bekkhan Israilov. Silver medals were won by Nurmukhamed Bektemirov, Ildar Davletbaev, Bogdan Petrov, and Artem Fatykhov.

Bronze medalists included Said Nalgiev, Ilnar Aydullin, Ilya Ignatyev, Roman Khasanov, Chingiz Khalfin, Ivan Orlov, Yulay Salimgareev, and Azamat Khasanov. In the overall standings, the team from the Republic of Bashkortostan took first place.
