Sport united professionals and amateurs.
On April 29, the first Republic of Bashkortostan Cup in athletics took place at the Rima Batalova Center stadium. The event was made possible thanks to the cooperation between the Athletics Federation of Bashkortostan and the Batyrsport organizing team.
A historical feature of the competition is that for the first time in our region, official track starts were open to amateur athletes.
In total, more than 350 athletes from various cities of Bashkortostan took part in the competition, including Ufa, Birsk, Salavat, Sterlitamak, Neftekamsk, Ishimbay, and others.
The competition program included a variety of disciplines: 100m and 110m hurdles, javelin throw, shot put, 100m, 300m, 600m, 3000m runs, long jump, and high jump. Amateurs actively participated in the 100m and 3000m distances.
Participants evaluated the significance of the event in different ways. Professional runners were glad to receive prizes at the awards ceremony, and amateur athletes were happy to get the unique opportunity to step onto the same track as the strongest runners of the republic.
