Wrestlers from Bashkiria became winners of Russian championship
Wrestlers from the Sterlibashevsky District won medals at the 55th Russian Koresh Championship. The head of the Sterlibashevsky District, Rustam Rakhmangulov, announced the victory of the Bashkir athletes.
The country's strongest wrestlers' jubilee tournament was held as part of the "Sport of Russia" state program. Ildar Muratov won a gold medal in the absolute category and earned the right to compete at the world championship, while Rifat Yarullin took third place in the 90 kg weight category and was awarded the right to compete at the World Cup.
On the same day, Ufa wrestler Adlan Amriev became the Russian champion in Greco-Roman wrestling among students. The tournament was held in Moscow.
