Ufa's "Agidel" is one win away from WHL Cup

While "Salavat Yulaev" cannot find the key to victory over "Lokomotiv" in the second round of the Gagarin Cup playoffs, the republic's women's hockey team "Agidel" continues to delight fans and is going for the seventh Cup in its history.

"Agidel" yesterday thrashed "Tornado" from the Moscow region in the third match of the final series. Ufa players are now one step away from their second consecutive WHL championship.

"Agidel" scored three unanswered goals in the first twenty minutes. Voskresensk reduced the deficit to a minimum in the second period and tried to turn the tide. But luck remained on the side of the Bashkortostan hockey players. Alexandra Nesterova scored the first hat-trick in the history of playoff finals, and Elizaveta Dubey and Olga Sosina pleased the fans with spectacular goals. The match in Voskresensk ended with a confident 5:2 victory for the guests.
