Bashkir runner won gold at Russian mountain running championship
Belorechanka Amina Shagalieva became the winner of the Russian Athletics Championship in uphill mountain running.
The Russian Mountain Running Championship and junior championship were held in Zheleznogorsk. Athletes from Beloretsk defended the honor of the republic in these competitions, the regional Ministry of Sports' press service reported.
Participants had to conquer Mount Beshtau, which is 1,400 meters high. The weather met the athletes with rain and wind, but the Republic's team showed excellent preparation and a will to win. Amina Shagalieva won the gold medal in the competition among junior women. Two more participants from the republic took silver and bronze medals – Ksenia Tagirova finished second, and Nikita Lisovsky third.
