Ufa native Yuri Ivanov became winner of Russian Biathlon Championship

Ufa's Yuri Ivanov won the gold medal at the Russian Biathlon Championship. The victory of the Bashkir biathlete was announced by the Vice Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Minister of Sport Ruslan Khabibov.

The competitions took place today in Krasnoyarsk. Yuri secured the victory in the 15 km race, finishing almost a minute ahead of his closest pursuer from the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Yugra.

Yuri Ivanov trains at the Ufa Olympic Reserve Sports School for Biathlon under the guidance of his father, Alexander Ivanov.
