All-Russian ski race to be held in Bashkortostan

The 44th All-Russian mass race "Ski Track of Russia" will be held in Bashkortostan on February 14. The city of Salavat will be the central venue for this year's sporting event, according to the regional Ministry of Sports.

As a reminder, last year's largest ski race was held in Neftekamsk. The start line included both the youngest athletes and veterans of Soviet sports—more than 2,800 skiers in total.

"I'm 77 years old. I've been involved in sports since 1964, and this is my sixth year participating in the Ski Track of Russia," shared Alexander Vasikov, the oldest participant in the race.
