Salavat Yulaev to face Avangard in Ufa

Salavat Yulaev will face Omsk's Avangard in Ufa today. The game is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. local time (6+).

The Ufa side will again be without several injured players. Forward Yevgeny Kuznetsov and defenseman Alexey Vasilevsky will miss the upcoming matches due to injuries.

After two defeats to Avangard in September, Salavat Yulaev secured an important away victory over the “Hawks” on January 13. The series now stands at 2–1 in favor of the Omsk team. Under head coach Viktor Kozlov, the Ufa club has won five of its six games this year and climbed to sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings. Avangard currently sits third, trailing Ak Bars.
