Junior fencers from Bashkortostan win gold at Russian Foil Championships

The first team event of the Russian Junior Championships in Oryol — the boys' foil competition — ended in a convincing victory for Bashkortostan's first team. Gold medals in this event were won by Radmir Galyautdinov, Amir Fakhretdinov, Davlat Khairetdinov, and Rostislav Khamdamov, the Russian Fencing Federation reported.

The Bashkortostan foilists dominated their opponents, defeating the first teams of Tatarstan (45:14), the Moscow Region (45:31), and St. Petersburg's second team (45:19). In the final, they faced last year's tournament winners from the Kursk Region, who were also unable to offer serious resistance to the Bashkortostan team.
