Bashkortostan will receive over 670 million rubles for sports development

The republic will receive twice as much funding for sports development.

Bashkortostan will receive over 670 million rubles for sports development. According to the republic's Prime Minister, Andrei Nazarov, since 2019, the region has attracted over 3.2 billion rubles into the sports industry.

With these funds, Bashkortostan has built 12 large sports centers, installed 68 GTO (Ready for Labor and Defense) training grounds, commissioned four multifunctional playgrounds, purchased 20 buses, and equipped sports schools with modern equipment.

In 2026, the region will receive 671.5 million rubles from the Russian Ministry of Sport alone—double this year's total. According to the Prime Minister, Bashkortostan has also attracted 3.9 billion rubles through the "Business Sprint" project. These funds are currently being used to build a swimming pool in Oktyabrsky and the "Alga" fitness and health complex in Sterlitamak. In addition, modular sports facilities and smart playgrounds are actively developing, and the network of GTO facilities is expanding.

"People are a separate issue. Our 'Rural Trainer' project formed the basis of the federal 'Zemsky Trainer' program: Bashkortostan will receive 57.3 million rubles, with annual payments to 22 trainers and teachers. We will continue to use every opportunity to increase the number of modern sports facilities in the republic and give residents reasons to exercise," said Andrey Nazarov.
