Bashkortostan representative became six-time Russian boxing champion

Yulia Chumgalakova, representing Bashkortostan in the parallel event, became a six-time Russian boxing champion. In the final bout, she defeated Ekaterina Fedotova from the Chelyabinsk region on points.

"I tried to follow my coach's instructions. Right now, I'm just feeling generally tired. The fight was tough, and my opponent was tall, although I'm used to that," Chumgalakova said after the bout.

The Russian Women's Boxing Championships are underway at the Ufa Wrestling Palace. Two athletes from the Bashkortostan national team have advanced to the finals. Bashkir boxer Azalia Amineva will also compete in the evening session.
