Foil fencer from Bashkiria wins national tournament

Egor Barannikov won the All-Russian foil fencing tournament held in Novogorsk. According to the Russian Fencing Federation, the competition took place at the Ilgar Mamedov Fencing Center near Moscow.

Seventy-four athletes competed in the men's event. Egor Barannikov, representing Ufa, claimed the top spot on the podium. He received the coveted award from Olympic champion and honored coach of Russia, Dmitry Shevchenko.
