Vener Latypov, a sambo wrestler from Bashkortostan, won bronze at the World Blind Sambo Championships. The republic's adaptive sports center announced his victory.

Vener, originally from the Uchaly district, has been training in sambo for over five years under coaches Artem Merkulov and Valentin Pegov.
