Ufa hockey player Semyon Vyazovoy named KHL Goaltender of Week
Salavat Yulaev goalkeeper Semyon Vyazovoy has been named the KHL Goaltender of the Week for the first time in his career. The Ufa netminder earned three victories in three games over the week, posting a goals-against average of 1.68. He faced 78 shots and stopped 93.59% of them, according to the league’s official website.
In addition, 18-year-old forward Alexander Zharovsky of the Ufa club was recognized as the Best Rookie of Week 7, scoring two goals in three games. His stats also include two blocked shots, one takeaway, and three interceptions.
Earlier, Alexander Zharovsky from Ufa was recognized by the NHL as a promising player.
