Student from Bashkiria wins silver at World Taekwondo Championship

Rahman Safiullin, a second-year student at the Academy of Public Administration under the Head of Bashkortostan, competed for the Russian national team.

Rahman came very close to winning gold, but lost in the final to an athlete from Korea. Thanks to his second-place finish, the Ufa native earned the title of Master of Sports of International Class.

The student has repeatedly won republican tournaments, become champion of Russia and Eurasia, and triumphed at the All-Russian Mayor of Moscow Cup, according to the State Committee of Bashkortostan for Science and Higher Education.
