"It was an important win for us — we haven't had one in a while. The guys played selflessly, and the atmosphere in the arena was amazing. Even at the end, when we were defending our goal, the fans' support really helped the team," Viktor Kozlov said at the post-match press conference.
The Traktor lineup recently added the KHL's top scorer, Joshua Leivo, who previously played for Salavat Yulaev.
Kozlov noted that the Canadian forward is difficult to contain, but Ufa's goaltender Semyon Vyazovoy managed to stop his shots.
