The head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, congratulated the Ufa athlete Rodion Alimov on his victory in the BWF international badminton series tournament. He performed with Maxim Ogloblin from Moscow, and in the final, the Russian pair was stronger than the athletes from the UAE.
This is the first victory of Russian badminton players in the international arena since 2022, the head of the republic noted.
Rodion trains under the guidance of Edgar Shcherbiy at the Ulfat Mustafin Sports Training Center.
"It's great that the athletes of Bashkortostan continue to delight us with their successes, glorify their native republic, and inspire our children to play sports. The latter is perhaps the most important thing - I always say this,” Radiy Khabirov commented.
