Salavat Yulaev's Canadian legionnaires arrive in Ufa

Salavat Yulaev's roster has been reinforced by defenseman Dean Stewart and forward Jack Rodwald.

Salavat Yulaev's Canadian legionnaires Dean Stewart and Jack Rodwald have arrived in Ufa for preseason training. The club's press service reported this.

Jack Rodwald played for Vladivostok's Admiral last season. In June of this year, he signed a contract with Salavat Yulaev. He shared his first impressions of his move to Ufa.

"It's always been difficult to play against Salavat, especially here in Ufa. The fans create a powerful atmosphere in the arena. It will be cool to be on the other side when this energy helps me and hinders the opponent. The team plays fast and creative hockey, and there are many skilled players on the roster. I know that they focus on puck control, which I like. I hope I can demonstrate my best qualities and fit into the system well," Rodwald noted.

Defenseman Dean Stewart transferred to the Ufa team from Vityaz near Moscow. In the regular KHL championship, he played 52 games, scored five goals, and made 10 assists.

After arriving in Ufa, Stewart had already talked with Viktor Kozlov and discussed the upcoming games and his role in the team.

"I remember the Vityaz games against Yulaevtsy very well, especially the game in Ufa. The atmosphere was amazing, there were cool fans here. So I'm looking forward to the games as part of Salavat," the legionnaire shared his impressions.
