Bashkortostan Minister of Sports spoke about national sports development
The development of national sports in Bashkortostan is one of the priority areas. The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic - Minister of Sports Ruslan Khabibov, stated this.
“Athletes from Bashkortostan participate in competitions, championships and championships of the world and Europe. It is important that we are not suspended from international tournaments in national sports, we compete under our flags, since they do not belong to the IOC. The Nomad Games showed that our team performs well and is a serious competitor. Russia took 3rd place. Next year we will compete in Kyrgyzstan, we are preparing. We have the strongest team of belt wrestlers. Archers and horsemen are also training,” said Ruslan Khabibov.
He also spoke about eSports. According to him, this sport is very popular among young people, especially students. Previously, there were plans to build a facility for training and competitions, but the international situation prevented them from being implemented.
"Cybersports are certainly very popular, and the prize money is quite decent. But the population still pays more attention to traditional sports," Ruslan Khabibov noted.
