Ufa will host Russian women boxing championship

This year, Ufa will accept the Russian boxing championship among women and the evening of professional boxing “IBA Night”. Republic Prime Minister Andrey Nazarov, together with the boxing federation of the country, discussed the course of preparations for tournaments.

The evening of the professional boxing “IBA Night” will be held on September 25-27 with the participation of athletes from 6 countries. Moreover, from November 13 to 23, the capital of the republic will receive the Russian boxing championship among women. About 200 athletes will take part in the competition.

Andrey Nazarov emphasized that there is already experience in such events in the republic. In addition, the region has a good sports infrastructure.

“As the president of the Bashkortostan Boxing Federation, I want to note that boxing in our republic is not just a sport, but a real driving force uniting people. More than 9 thousand people regularly engage in boxing in the region. In 43 sports organizations, over 3 thousand athletes are trained under the guidance of 93 coaches, including honored mentors of Russia. Over the past year, 13 of our fellow countrymen entered the national team of Russia.

We pay special attention to young people: the Boxing-Boxing-School, launched in 2022, led hundreds of boys and girls to regular training, forming the correct life values and raising the spirit of patriotism,” - the Prime Minister emphasized.
