Young forward Alexander Zharovsky will make his debut for Salavat Yulaev in the final stage of the KHL 3x3 Championship, team captain Nikita Shchitov announced.
Last season, Salavat Yulaev academy graduate Zharovsky played for the main team in the decisive Gagarin Cup playoff matches. He recorded an assist in the semifinal game against Lokomotiv. In June, the young forward was selected 34th overall in the NHL Draft by the Montreal Canadiens.
Today, in the KHL 3x3 Superfinal, Salavat Yulaev will face Traktor Chelyabinsk. The match is crucial for the Ufa team, as both clubs have four points after three days of play.
Earlier in the Superfinal, Salavat Yulaev defeated Dynamo.
