Olympic champion from Ufa, Adelina Zagidullina, won the international competition "Foil of St. Petersburg". The 48th fencing tournament was held in the northern capital from June 27 to 29.
The Russians emerged as the strongest. "Silver" was won by Kristina Samsonova, representing the Kursk region. The top three were completed by Polina Kozaeva from Kursk and Marta Martyanova from Kazan.
The winners were congratulated by the president of the Russian Fencing Federation, Ilgar Mamedov, head coach of the Russian national fencing team and a two-time Olympic champion, as well as Alexander Romankov, an Olympic champion and ten-time world champion.
