Volleyball players from Bashkiria won silver at All-Russian competitions

Young volleyball players from the city of Kumertau won a silver medal at the All-Russian competitions in Ramenskoye, Moscow Region. The schoolchildren's victory was announced by the Ministry of Sports of the republic.

The final stage of the All-Russian volleyball competition "Silver Ball" took place from June 16 to 21 in Ramenskoye. 16 teams from different regions of the country took part in the tournament. The team from school No. 8, Kumertau, confidently passed all the qualifying stages and took an honorable second place in the final, losing only to the team from Moscow. Additionally, following the competition results, team player Maxim Agarkov was recognized as the "Best Blocker." The administration of the city of Kumertau reported that Alexander Shpenkov coaches the volleyball team.

"This is a coach without whom it is impossible to characterize volleyball in Kumertau and the surrounding area. His painstaking and professional work led to the students' success. Aleksandr Shpenkov, who has trained several generations of volleyball players, fondly recalls how the boys first came to the volleyball section in the third grade. And today they have already become prize winners of the All-Russian competitions,” the mayor’s office noted.

The competitions were held as part of the All-Russian project “Volleyball to School.”
