Wrestlers from Bashkiria won 16 medals at Russian Championship

The Russian Belt Wrestling Championship ended successfully for 16 Bashkir athletes. They won 3 gold, 5 silver, and 8 bronze medals, the republic's Ministry of Sports reported.

The tournament was held from April 16 to 18 in Lyubertsy and brought together the strongest athletes from 29 regions of Russia.

Anastasia Belash, Alina Pukhova, and Artur Zulkarnayev won gold. Silver went to Arina Almukhamedova, Daria Shchetinina, Ilfak Ibatullin, Igor Volobuyev, and Tural Azimov. They will compete at the World Championship in Abu Dhabi, which will be held in July.

The bronze medal was awarded to Zalina Islamova, Dina Tuigildina, Renata Shaimukhametova, Olympia Makhiyanova, Zamirat Kusaeva, Denis Uskombaev, Giorgi Khurtsilava, and Vitaly Balyanov.
