Beloretsk alpine skier Tanzila Israilova won a gold medal in the Russian Cup final in alpine skiing. The Bashkir athlete once again distinguished herself in the giant slalom with a result of 1.36.39.
Ekaterina Tkachenko from Moscow came in second (+0.41), while Yulia Melnikova from the Murmansk Region took third place (+1.06).
Tanzila Israilova demonstrated a brilliant result at the final competitions of the winter season. The day before, Tanzila won the Bolshoi Vudyavr Cup international tournament in Kirovsk.
As the republic's government noted, the 2024/25 competition season can be called one of the best for the Bashkir athlete.
"Tanzila Israilova became a two-time Russian champion in alpine skiing in Manzherok. She renewed a historic achievement - for the first time in 15 years, a representative of Bashkortostan won the main alpine skiing competition in the country. And Tanzila managed to do this in two disciplines at once - "giant slalom" and "slalom" - the regional government reported on Tanzila's achievements.
