Bashkiria Alpine skier wins bronze at World Championships in France

Bashkiria Alpine skier Karina Zakirova won a bronze medal at the VIRTUS World Alpine Skiing Championships for athletes with intellectual disabilities. The Republic's Adaptive Sports Center reported that the competition was held at the Tignes ski resort in France.

Athletes from 11 countries are participating in the tournament. Karina Zakirova took third place in the super-giant. The athlete was trained by Kristina Kovalenko, the senior coach of the Russian national alpine skiing team.
