Russian Volleyball Cup preliminary stage will be held in Ufa

The preliminary stage of the Russian Cup will be held in Ufa. The matches will be held in the Dynamo Sports Complex from April 3 to 5. The website of the Ufa volleyball club Dynamo-Ural reports that six matches involving six teams will be held over three game days.

Twenty teams from the Super League and Major League A will participate in the Russian Cup. The semi-finalists of the Russian Championship will directly qualify for the Final Six, which will be held in Kazan from May 6 to 11.

Another 16 teams will be divided into four groups, each playing in one round. The winners of the groups will advance to the playoff round, in which they will play according to the A1-G1, B1-V1 scheme. The confrontations will consist of two matches (April 12-13, 19-20), with a possible "golden set" in case of equality of victories and points.
