The Russian Jiu-Jitsu Federation press service reported that Timur Gazizov, from Bashkiria, won the European jiu-jitsu championship. This joyful event took place in the city of Larnaca, Cyprus.
The sixteen-year-old athlete from the village of Shamonino in the Ufa region fought four fights with opponents from Greece and France. Timur finished all fights ahead of schedule, winning a crushing victory.
Timur Gazizov trains at the Yakudza Gym jiu-jitsu club under the guidance of Denis Gazizov. This year, he also won the Russian championship in jiu-jitsu in St. Petersburg.
The young athlete will compete in the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Thailand in October 2025.
