Special Military Operations veteran from Bashkiria won gold in Khanty-Mansiysk

A veteran of the Special Military Operations from Bashkiria, a member of the national team of the republic, Oleg Muftakhutdinov, won a second gold medal at the All-Russian "Fatherland Defenders Cup" in winter sports in Khanty-Mansiysk. The contribution of the award to the Bashkir team was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria - Minister of Sports Ruslan Khabibov.

"Today Oleg won the biathlon. He covered the 3 km distance in 6 minutes and 19 seconds. And two days earlier, he also became the best at cross-country skiing," Ruslan Khabibov reported on his social media.

Let us recall that the team of veterans of the special military operation from Bashkiria is participating in the competitions of the first All-Russian "Fatherland Defenders Cup" in winter sports in Yugra. The team captain is a veteran of the special military operation Artem Mukharyamov. The team of athletes also includes veterans of the special operation Radik Yusupov and Aleksey Kholopov.

Aleksey Kholopov and Oleg Muftakhutdinov compete in biathlon, cross-country, and alpine skiing. They already have experience in these competitions. In November 2024, they represented the republic at the All-Russian "Fatherland Defenders Cup" in Sochi.
