Winter Deaflympics Games date in Bashkiria has been announced
The Winter Deaflympics Games in Bashkiria are planned for February 6 to 16. Following the first meeting with the working group, Ruslan Khabibov, head of the regional Ministry of Sports, announced this on his Telegram channel.
According to him, part of the competitions are planned to be held in Ufa, and part - on the territory of the Abzakovo Ski Resort.
In July 2023, the Summer Deaflympics Games "We Are Together. Sport" were held in Ufa. Then, 1,620 athletes from 30 countries visited Bashkiria. According to international guests, the competitions were held at the highest level.
"Most recently, the All-Russian Federation of Deaf Sports approached the republic's leadership with a proposal to hold the largest sporting event in winter. The Head of the Republic supported this idea. Several organizational issues were discussed during the first meeting with the working group. I will keep you informed of events,” Ruslan Khabibov said.
