Russian swimmers Miron Lifintsev, Kirill Prigoda, Andrey Minakov, and Egor Kornev won the 4x100-meter medley relay at the World Championships in Budapest in the short course in the 25-meter pool. They came in first with a time of 3:18.68 seconds, setting a new world record that surpassed the previous achievement of the US team (3:18.98).
Our athletes also beat the Americans in the head-to-head battle. The USA team finished second (3:19.03), and the Italians came third (3:19.91).
For Russian swimmers, this is the sixth gold at the World Championships.
