Bashkiria Bobsledder Wins Gold Medal at Russian Championship
Bashkiria bobsledder Alena Anisimova won a gold medal at the Russian Championships in Sochi. The republic's Ministry of Sports reported that the Bashkir athlete won in the women's doubles with Nina Klimenko (Moscow Region).
In addition, Alena Anisimova took third place in the women's monobob among juniors under 21. In the men's doubles and fours, Bayry Atayev and Dinar Zamanov won bronze medals at the all-Russian competitions.
"We would like to mention 15-year-old Tatyana Yurova, who overtook more experienced athletes and took 4th place. Tatyana fulfilled the standard of a candidate for master of sports," the RB Ministry of Sports reported.
