Viktor Kozlov assessed Salavat Yulaev's victory over Traktor
Salavat Yulaev played and won the match against a big team. This is how the head coach of the Ufa hockey club, Viktor Kozlov, assessed Traktor's new style of play.
"It was a tough match; we played against a big, good team. Much effort was spent taking the puck, but we must give the guys credit. We played well in defense and held up. It was a significant victory at home in front of our fans. The guys play selflessly. We knew that the Chelyabinsk team plays a lot through the defenders in attack; they often get into the crease, so we asked them to watch this," Viktor Kozlov said at the post-match press conference.
Salavat Yulaev earned 44 points and rose to second place in the Eastern Conference standings. Traktor has 46 points and is first in the East.
Salavat Yulaev will play their next home game on December 6, when the Ufa team will play against Sibir from Novosibirsk.
