Athletes from Bashkiria won 8 medals at Russian Table Tennis Cup
The Russian Table Tennis Cup among athletes with intellectual disabilities was held in the Kurgan Region. 66 athletes from 15 regions of the country took part in the competition.
As reported by the Adaptive Sports Center of the Republic of Bashkiria, Bashkiria athletes were awarded three gold, three silver, and two bronze medals. In the singles, Elena Prokofieva won gold, Ufa resident Linar Vakilov won silver, and Marina Solovieva and Alexander Emelianov won bronze.
The Bashkiria team (Nazgul Baiguzhina, Elena Prokofieva, Marina Solovieva) took first place among the women's teams. Our athletes also had no equal in the doubles category: Marina Solovieva and Elena Prokofieva won the gold medal, and the silver medal went to the pair of Alexander Emelianov and Elena Prokofieva, Daniil Ivanov and Linar Vakilov.
