

A product of Bashkir hockey, Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevsky has won 300 games in the National Hockey League championships and set a new record.
As the republic's Ministry of Sports reported, Jacques Plante held the previous league record (521 matches) for 61 years and 326 days.
Andrei Vasilevsky began his career at the “Salavat Yulaev” sports school and debuted in the KHL as part of the Ufa team in the 2012-2013 season.
Recall that the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, awarded Andrei Vasilevsky and his father, Honored Master of Sports of the USSR Andrei Vasilevsky, state awards. Andrei Leonidovich Vasilevsky was awarded the Order of Merit for the Republic of Bashkortostan, and Andrei Andreevich Vasilevsky was awarded the Order of Salavat Yulaev.
