Bashkiria's wheelchair tennis players took entire Russian Championship podium

Bashkiria's athletes triumphantly performed at the Russian Wheelchair Tennis Championship. The acting Minister of Sports of the Republic, Ruslan Khabibov, announced their victory.

"Our guys took the entire podium. In singles, the absolute champion of Russia was seventeen-year-old Viktor Sidorov. The silver medalist was Ivan Andreev, and Mikhey Sidorov won bronze," Ruslan Khabibov posted on his Telegram channel.

The brothers Viktor and Mikhey Sidorov, who competed in doubles, also became Russia's champions. Ivan Andreev and Vadim Obukhov from the Moscow Region shared second place. The bronze went to the brothers Vladislav and Vyacheslav Makarov.

Let's add that Viktor and Mikhey Sidorov received certificates for 1,400,000 rubles each to purchase modern tennis wheelchairs.

The Russian Wheelchair Tennis Championships were held in Moscow from September 29 to October 4. 43 athletes from 11 regions of Russia took part in the tournament.

"I express my deep gratitude to all the guys and their coaches, Vyacheslav Shamaev and Aidar Suleimanov. Well done, the republic is proud of you," Ruslan Khabibov noted.

Let us recall that in May last year, athletes from Bashkortostan took all winning places at the Russian Wheelchair Tennis Championships.
