Bashkiria Athlete wins silver at rock climbing competition
The All-Russian rock climbing competition in the discipline of "speed climbing" was held in Kaliningrad.
The Ministry of Sports of Bashkiria reported that this is already the fifth start of the season for the fastest rock climbers in the country.
Kamila Kushaeva from Bashkiria won a silver medal at the tournament. She covered the competition distance in 7.227 seconds, the Ministry said.
As Bashinform reported earlier, Polina Konoplina, a student at the sports school of Olympic reserve in Beloretsky district of Bashkortostan, was awarded the title of Master of Sports of Russia.
The girl has been involved in rock climbing since childhood. Polina became acquainted with the sport at the age of three and began training at the age of 10. Her mother, Elena Konoplina, trains her. In January this year, Polina won a bronze medal at an All-Russian competition in Voronezh.
