1,700 people want to become volunteers at Russia — Sports Power Forum in Ufa
More than 1,700 people have applied to volunteer at the XII International Sports Forum Russia—Sports Power, which will be held in Ufa from October 17 to 19. Volunteers will meet official delegations, work at information desks, and assist with the Forum's work. The recruitment of volunteers was announced on June 20.
"More than 1,700 applications! This is a record number of applications in the entire history of the Forum, starting in 2009. From this number, we will choose the best and try to ensure their comfortable work as much as possible," said Ruslan Khabibov, Acting Minister of Sports of Bashkortostan.
He said that the guys will be provided with three meals a day and will be given branded equipment with the Forum's symbols. Volunteers will receive Alga transport cards for convenient movement around the city.
According to the press service of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the XII International Sports Forum "Russia - a Sports Power" in Ufa includes a plenary session, business, exhibition, cultural, sports, and entertainment programs. The main sports events in the country will take place based on a new sports facility - the Wrestling Palace, which was built for the 450th anniversary of Ufa.
Russian President Vladimir Putin invited athletes worldwide to participate in the "Russia - a Sports Power" forum.
