Radiy Khabirov to award Paralympians from Bashkortostan
Athletes from Bashkortostan performed well at the XVII Paralympic Summer Games in Paris, Radiy Khabirov said today at a government operational meeting.
“Paralympians won six medals. The republic was represented in the national team by Bogdan Mozgovoy, Adelina Razyatdinova, Andrey Nikolaev, Elena Prokofieva, Anton Kulyatin, Anna Kulinich-Sorokina, Elena Pautova and Andrey Safonov. They competed in three out of five sports. I would like to award them solemnly, and it would be fair. Congratulations to their coaches. Well done,” the Head of Bashkortostan commented.
Radiy Khabirov noted that Bashkir athletes showed a real will to win in difficult conditions.
The Paralympics in Paris ended on September 9. The Russian team has 64 medals: 20 gold, 21 silver, and 23 bronze. Athletes from Bashkiria won six medals.
