Elizaveta Kaplina won first medal in women's biathlon

Bashkiria has a medal in women's biathlon for the last 10 years. According to the republic's Ministry of Sports, Elizaveta Kaplina won the bronze. The Bashkir biathlete finished third in the sprint of the Russian Biathlon Championship in Krasnoyarsk (+15.3).

The gold medal was won by Victoria Slivko (Tyumen Oblast) — 19:48.3 (0). In second place was Tamara Derbusheva (Sverdlovsk Oblast) +10.5.
