Head of Bashkiria spoke about Paralympians from Bashkiria

Bashkiria's athletes performed well at the XVII Paralympic Summer Games in Paris. The Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, is convinced of this. He noted that Bashkir athletes showed a real will to win in difficult conditions.

Recall that the Paralympics in Paris ended on September 9. The Russian team has 64 medals: 20 gold, 21 silver, and 23 bronze awards. Athletes from Bashkiria won six medals. Anton Kulyatin, Anna Kulinich-Sorokina (athletics), Elena Prokofieva (table tennis), Bogdan Mozgovoy, and Andrey Nikolaev (swimming) defended Bashkiria's honor as part of the national team.

Radiy Khabirov noted that all conditions have been created in the republic so that people with disabilities can play sports, and this work does not stop. The republican sports school "Center for Adaptive Sports" is training the Paralympians for the competition.

"Support for sports in the republic is of great importance to us. Over the past five years, more than 1,400 facilities have been built - this is the third place in Russia. For the first time in 30 years, a program for the major repairs of sports facilities was launched in the region. Sports grounds with modern exercise machines are appearing in cities and villages. And everywhere we try to create conditions for people with disabilities. I congratulate our Paralympians and their coaches on their excellent results. We are waiting for their return home," Radiy Khabirov congratulated the athletes on his Telegram channel.
