Wrestlers from Bashkiria are leading in Nomad Games
Athletes from Bashkiria have won their first victories at the V World Nomad Games. The Ministry of Sports of the Republic reported about them.
The Russian kok-boru team, which includes equestrian Nur Kuserbayev, beat the Chinese team by 4:1. Leyla Shagisultanova successfully defeated rivals from Italy and Mongolia in mas-wrestling. Today, she will meet a representative of Kyrgyzstan in the final.
Also, Alena Fatykhova, stronger on the wrestling mat than athletes from Azerbaijan and Belarus, reached the final, and Kamilla Zulkarnaeva is fighting for bronze. Alena Pukhova and Zamirat Kusaeva reached the final, which will take place tomorrow.
The V World Nomad Games started in Astana last Sunday and will end on September 13. 209 Russians are participating in the tournament. Bashkiria's delegation is the second largest, with 26 athletes.
