The head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, published a photo of the Wrestling Palace being prepared for opening.
"The facility was unique - both in appearance and content. I hope the guys who will train here, their coaches, and parents will be happy," he wrote on his social networks.
A large sports facility in Bashkiria, being built for the city's 450th anniversary, will become one of the central places for holding international and Russian competitions. The series will open with the global forum "Russia—a Sports Power," which will be held in the republic's capital in October of this year, as well as the Council under the President of Russia for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports.
The construction of the Wrestling Palace began five years ago - in August 2019. Radiy Khabirov gave the start to large-scale construction. The head of the republic laid a time capsule in the foundation of the building with an appeal to future generations.
