High jumper from Bashkiria won Russian Championship

A native of Bashkiria, competing for Moscow, and silver medalist of the World Championship, Danil Lysenko once again proved he is the best high jumper. The athlete participated in the Russian Championship in athletics, held from August 15 to 18 in Yekaterinburg.

Danil Lysenko cleared the bar at a height of 2.27 meters. Second place went to Ilya Ivanyuk (Bryansk, Smolensk regions), who conquered a height of 2.24 meters. Nikita Anishchenkov (Moscow, Chelyabinsk region) completed the top three and showed the same result as Ilya Ivanyuk, but he used several attempts.

Danil Lysenko was born in Birsk. He began to engage in athletics at the Youth Sports School "Yunost." The athlete's first coach was Nikolai Kovalsky. Danil Lysenko became the World Indoor Champion in 2018 and the silver medalist of the 2017 World Championship. He won the title of Russian Champion twice (2017, 2023) and is also a two-time Russian Indoor Champion (2018, 2023). 2016 Danil Lysenko became the Master of Sports of Russia of International Class.

In Bashkiria, new sports facilities are being built, and existing ones are being renovated. Much attention has been paid to the development of sports and physical education, and attracting the population to a healthy lifestyle has become one of the main priorities of regional leadership.

The head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, noted at a meeting of the Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports in February of this year that the republic pays great attention to developing sports infrastructure.

At the same time, the head of the region instructed to submit proposals for the modernization of sports facilities in municipalities as part of the Bashkortostan Development Strategy until 2030.
