Dmitry Chernyshenko spoke about "Russia - Sports Power" Forum in Ufa

In October, Ufa will host the international sports forum "Russia - a Sports Power." Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko noted that the forum in the capital of Bashkortostan will become a unique platform for developing comprehensive measures for strategic development in the sports industry.

The forum "Russia—Sports Power" will feature a plenary session, about 50 round tables, conferences, seminars, discussion platforms with industry experts and government officials participating, and sports and cultural programs. At least 5,000 people are expected to participate in the forum.

Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized that from January to July 2024, over 7 thousand sporting events were held in Russia, and at least 6 thousand more are planned to be held by the end of the year.

"Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the idea of ​​forming a single comprehensive state program in the sports field, including major sports events and competitions of a new format. This year, we have already held more than 7,000 sports events, which is almost twice as many as in the same period last year. This is a significant increase in achieving the goal set by the head of state to involve Russians in physical education and sports. Mass races, festivals, championships, and international competitions are designed for children and adults," said Dmitry Chernyshenko.

Earlier, Dmitry Chernyshenko held a meeting of the organizing committee to prepare for and hold the international sports forum "Russia—Sports Power" in Ufa.

The ceremony of transferring the international sports forum "Russia - Sports Power" standard to the Republic of Bashkortostan from the Perm Territory took place on April 12 in Moscow as part of the international congress and exhibition event "We are together. Sports".

Russian President Vladimir Putin invited athletes worldwide to participate in the forum "Russia - Sports Power."

In October last year, the head of state addressed the participants of the XI International Forum "Russia —Sports Power," held in Perm.

"The forum "Russia —Sports Power" will be held next year. It has traditionally taken place in different cities in our vast country. This time, it will be the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan — Ufa. In 2024, Ufa will celebrate its 450th anniversary. The forum guests will participate in festive events and get acquainted with the culture, history, and heritage of another distinctive, exciting, and diverse region of Russia," Vladimir Putin addressed the forum participants.
